Out at the Pride Parade!
June 25, 2009
Around 75 supporters marched with Peter in the Houston Pride Parade last night. The parade has become a Houston tradition, with throngs of viewers lining the parade route to celebrate the City's diversity! It was a good time and a lot of fun for everyone. Thanks to everyone who showed up and marched with us!!

Participants met ahead of time, helped set up the float, and got to know each other. The campaign float was a great addition to the parade, blasting a tribute to Michael Jackson. We had lights, decorations, and a pretty hefty sound system!

Campaign supporters tossed carnations and beads to the crowd, and people along the way were excited to see Peter there.

Peter got off the float several times to walk the parade route and interact with parade-goers.

We had a great crowd there with us, with a lot of fantastic folks who were excited to walk with Peter and support his vision for a better Houston.
