HOUSTON -- After first recommending that most city departments cut their budgets by about 2 percent this year, the Houston City Council may be faced with the same choice on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Council Member Peter Brown, who is running for mayor, said the City Council should be willing to cut its own budget.
He also outlined other ways to save money, such as outsourcing some of the maintenance for police cars.
