Houston, TX – The Peter Brown for Mayor campaign today announced additional endorsements, including the Mexican American Sheriff’s Organization, Houston Education Support Personnel and Richmond Rail PAC. Peter Brown’s campaign has received a number of significant endorsements over the past week, as support continues to build behind his message of an even better Houston.
"We support Peter Brown's goals, beliefs, and his blueprint to make our great city even better,” said MASO spokesman Luis Figueroa. “We have confidence in his ability to keep Houstonians safe and find real solutions to reduce crime in Houston.
Earlier in the campaign Peter Brown released Get Tough, Get Smart, a public safety blueprint outlining his plan for a decentralized, results-oriented policing strategy. This endorsement represents some of the support his vision for a safer Houston is receiving among those responsible for keeping us safe.
Brown also received the endorsement of the Houston Educational Support Personnel this week.
"Peter Brown has worked hard for the people of Houston on City Council and will bring that experience to the Mayor's office,” said Wretha Thomas, President of H.E.S.P. Local 6315. “We trust Peter to protect and create jobs in Houston and preserve our high quality of life.”
Brown said he was honored to earn the endorsements, and
that as Mayor, he would work hard every day to keep Houston safe and grow the city economy.
“I’m honored to receive these endorsements from our brave law enforcement officers and the men and women who are there every day to support the education of our children,” said Peter Brown. “As Mayor, I’ll be committed to making Houston a safer city with a strong economy and a better quality of life – for them, and for all Houstonians.”
Public polling has shown that Peter Brown has the broadest base of all the candidates, drawing support individuals all across Houston.
As a successful businessman, Peter Brown has the experience Houston needs in our next mayor. A U.S. Army Veteran born and raised in Houston, Peter built his own small business into a successful national firm. He knows how to make a business thrive, and he knows how to get results. As Mayor, he’ll use those skills to improve our city – protecting our tax dollars with a more effective, efficient and accountable approach to government. He has a Blueprint for an Even Better Houston, with real solutions to reduce crime, improve the quality of life, and attract more businesses and more jobs to Houston. As a City Council Member, Brown saved taxpayers millions by reworking city building plans, cutting government waste, and championing conservation efforts. Brown has the experience and vision to make Houston even better. We need a Mayor who will get results, and Peter Brown is that leader.
